Winter Wednesday Talk 15th December

This Wednesday is our next Winter Talk. We will be holding this on Zoom, starting at 7.30pm. Joining us will be Nick Craig, multiple time national champion, author of various guides to being better at racing, and gravel pit based club member of Frensham Pond!

We will be emailing the link to join this talk to all members on Wednesday morning.

Prize Giving

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our prize giving yesterday. It was great to be able to celebrate the success of so many members. Unfortunately a number of winners were unable to join us as they had other family/work commitments or were otherwise indisposed. If you received an email from James last week saying you had won something but weren't able to make it on the day please get in touch with him to arrange collection!

At this point once again can the club please extend it's thanks to John Driscoll, who not only collates and processes all our race results, but also put a huge amount of effort and time into organising the engraving of all the trophies we awarded, and also ensured they were all polished and ready to be handed out!

Membership Renewals

Last week we emailed all members about how to renew your memberships, and also about our brand new Pay As You Go Monthly offer!

You can see more details about how to renew your membership and the new form of membership at the links below.

Training courses for 2022 will open for booking on 1st January 2022, and you must have renewed to be able to book on!

Covid-19 Mitigations

Thank you to everyone at the club who has been supportive of the new Covid-19 mitigations we have put in place following some of the Government's recent announcements. You can see what measures have been put in place at the link below.

Winter is Coming!

With Winter here, and the windy weather a more regular feature (we even had a South Westerly wind this weekend).

Can all members please ensure their boats are secure, and tied down appropriately. Please remember it normally is a term of your insurance that your boat is tied down. If it isn't and it blows over and damages another boat your insurance policy may not pay!

We also strongly advise all sails are removed from boats at this time of year to prevent rodent damage. Last winter due to the lockdowns we stored some member's sails in our storage sheds at the club. Due to the full programme of activities and maintenance at the club this winter this is not something we can do. We do not wish to see member's sails eaten by rodents, please take them home!
