RYA National Team Racing Championship Report
Winter Race Series
After a two week pause our club racing programme resumes this Sunday with the Winter Series! Each Sunday will see two back to back handicap races starting at 10.30 am. Remember all members are welcome to join in and it would be great to see some new faces racing!
2021 AGM
All members should have received a link on Friday to the Notice of AGM. This year our AGM is being held via Zoom on Sunday 5th December. On the web page below you will be able to view the Notice of AGM, any other relevant documentation and find the Zoom link for the meeting.
2021 Prizegiving
With our AGM being held virtually for the second year running we are keen to return to a physical prizegiving.
This year's prizegiving will be on Sunday 12th December at 1pm, following the morning's racing. The bar will be open, and it would be good to see as many members as possible turn out for this event.
To encourage everyone to come along we will be making he use of club boats free to any member's who wish to join in the racing on that morning!
December Winter Wednesday - Nick Craig
Following our fantastic talk from Helena Lucas MBE last week we have our next talk lined up for Wednesday 15th December. Nick Craig from Frensham Pond Sailing Club will be joining us to talk about his experiences as one of the UK's most successful lake based sailors.
You can reserve your space at this link.
Weed Update
Mercifully we have had very little floating weed this year, however it is definitely still at the bottom of the lake as discovered by Ed Morris this weekend as he was one of the busiest volunteers making sure our Team Racing course was fit for a National Championships!
We are continuing to monitor the situation and Dick Meredith is continuing his fantastic work to try and keep the lake as clear as possible.
