Icicle 1-Day Racing
It was incredible to see 18 boats out racing on Sunday including Salisbury Sea Cadets and new member Peter (welcome Peter)! Thanks to Tom's quick work the results were on the website very quickly. The next club racing is on Sunday 15th February.
Wessex Winter Warmer This Weekend
This weekend is the Wessex Winter Warmer, one of the country's premier team racing events is being hosted this weekend by Southampton University Sailing Club. This fantastic event will see 120 sailors competing over 2 days!
This is a fantastic event and well worth coming to watch! Please note the lake is closed to other water users during this event.
Water Butt
A big thank you to Caroline for arranging the installation of a new water butt on the corner of the clubhouse in the south car park! Please do use it if the plants are looking like they might be a little bit thirsty (not a problem at the moment I know).
Freshly Painted Race Marks
Our fixed yellow race marks have recently been having a makeover thanks to Sam who has cleaned and repainted them. The last two have been painted and will be getting put back on the lake next week!
2026 Membership Renewals
All annual members should have received information regarding their membership renewals via email. Within the email was information about how to renew, as well as a request to check the club's records regarding your address etc were up to date. You can see your renewals details (and renew your membership) here.
Our early bird renewal discount will run until 31st January 2026. If you have any questions about your membership, would like to change the type of your membership or need assistance with renewing please email admin@spinnakerclub.co.uk.
How to Stay In Touch
Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
