Club Survey

Our Club Survey is still open, and it would be great to have some more feedback from you our members! The Main and Sailing Committee are asking for feedback relating to our training and racing programmes, catering and duties/volunteering at the club. Please remember this is your club, and unless we receive your input and feedback we cannot act on it!

All members were emailed a link to the survey this morning.

October Half Term RYA Courses

October half term is rapidly approaching! We have had a few requests come in and so we have squeezed in a final RYA Youth Stage 3 & 4 course for this year starting on Monday 25th October!

This will only be open for booking for a short time, so if your children are interested please book quickly. You can find the course details here on our website.

New Daily Board

Some of you may have already seen this news on Facebook. We have been updating our noticeboards in the club house, and have a new daily board where you can see who the Duty Senior Instructor and Race Officer are, what activities are happening at the club on the day and the weather forecast.

This board is next to our Official Racing Noticeboard near the coffee machine.

Car Parking

Can we please remind all members and users of the club that cars must not be parked in a way which would prevent the movement of boats or other vehicles around the site.

Selection for RYA Regional Training Groups

A big congratulations to our Topper sailors Ava and Matthew who have both been selected for the RYA Regional Training Group programme this winter! There is always fierce competition for places on this programme which replace the RYA Zone Squads a couple of years ago.

This is recognition of Ava and Matthew's current abilities, their desire to get better and their attitude to work and improving. Well done both of you!

Eric Twiname Team Racing Championships 2021

This weekend Ava, Max, Bede and Jas travelled up to Oxford Sailing Club to take part in the Junior Team Racing Championships in Fevas! All sailed very well, and showed some real determination. Unfortunately we didn't make ti to the knock out stages this year, but will be back for 2022, hopefully with more entries and will get further in the event!
