Race Hut Repairs
Over the last few weeks we have had some repairs done to our race hut! New doors have been fitted (and painted yesterday thanks to Ian), and the rotten window frame has been replaced!
Race Management Support/Mentoring
If you've looked at our Duty Roster, you may have noticed there is a fifth role for each day of club racing from the end of March. This is a new element as part of our ongoing support to our members who volunteer to run dinghy racing.
This roster lot will be filled by one of our professional staff team for each race day, and they are there not to run racing, but support our members to run it. For example they can provide support to Race Officers with questions about how to run racing or best record results, or provide advice to safety boat teams. You will be able to see which staff member is supporting each day via the duty roster.
1-Day Icicle This Weekend
This Sunday (15th February) we have our second 1-Day Icicle Series. This promises to be another fantastic day of racing.
Due to unforeseeable circumstances we are also know looking for an ARO for this Sunday, if you can help please let us know.
Nigel Barrow Evening Talk
Steve has very kindly arrange for world champion dinghy sailor, and now remote controlled sailing guru, Nigel Barrow to visit us and give an evening talk on Wednesday 18th February. You can find out more, and let us know you are coming here.
How to Stay In Touch
Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
